Elaboration of cycling tourism efficiency model in Iran

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to compile the efficiency model of cycling tourism in Iran with an approach based on the data theory of Strauss and Corbin's model. The statistical population of this research in the qualitative part included experts in the field of cycling tourism efficiency, including university professors, all cycling federation managers and management experts. Sampling was based on in-depth interviews, purposeful sampling and snowball sampling technique. In fact, the continuation of sampling (13 interviews) reached theoretical saturation and sufficiency. And to determine the reliability of the data (which in qualitative research is equivalent to the reliability and validity of quantitative research) two open coding methods were used by another researcher and member review method. The initial coding results show 90 open codes, some of which are as follows. Managers' specialized knowledge, having managerial experience in the field of sports tourism, measuring the productivity of the tourism industry, having the expertise of managers and trainers, and the results of the core coding and the relationships between the categories identified in Ghalib Twelve central codes named software, capital attraction, productivity management, emotional, efficiency, behavioral, human capital, financial structure, economic growth, hardware, functional and effectiveness were extracted and the final qualitative model was obtained. It was in good condition
