Physical literacy and its effect on quality of life in adulthood

Abstract

Introduction and purpose: Physical literacy means having the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude to maintain and improve physical health throughout life. This concept, which is rooted in physical education and sports science, refers to a person's ability to understand and perform correct and healthy body movements. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of physical literacy on the quality of life of adults. Considering the increasing importance of physical health in modern societies, it seems necessary to identify the factors that affect the improvement of the quality of life.
Methodology: This research uses a qualitative method to collect data and includes in-depth interviews with adults with different levels of physical literacy. Data analysis has been done using the content analysis method.
Results: The findings show that people with a high level of physical literacy have a better quality of life and suffer less problems related to physical health. Also, these people are more successful in managing stress and maintaining a balance between personal and work life.
Conclusion: Physical literacy can be considered as a key factor in improving the quality of life in adulthood. Paying attention to this concept and promoting it in communities can help improve public health and reduce costs related to health care.
