Iranian Islamic model of marital satisfaction mediated by Demand-Withdraw communication pattern

Abstract

The aim of this study was to provide a causal model Based on the relationship between love triangle, differentiation of self, spiritual lifestyle, and social interest With Marital satisfaction And the Mediation of couple's communication patterns. This study was a descriptive correlation study and its statistical population included all married Man and Woman in Kermanshah City.603 person were selected through multistage cluster sampling. Participants were replied into; enrich marital satisfaction, communication patterns of couples (CPQ), love triangle, differentiation of self, spiritual lifestyle, and social interest index (SSI).Data was analyzed With SPSS (22 version) and Amos (21 version). And Pearson correlation, regression and Structural Equation Modeling was performed.
The Results showed that there is a relationship between love triangles, differentiation of self, spiritual lifestyle, and social interest With Marital satisfaction and couples communication patterns. The results of fitted proposed model show that the only model with mediation of demand - resigning communication pattern can predict marital satisfaction. And the other two with the mediator pattern of mutual constructive communication and mutual avoidance communication patterns, were applied to modify the model. Based on results of this research can be said that love triangles, differentiation of self, spiritual lifestyle, and social interest once causing marital satisfaction among couples. That more mutual constructive communication patterns, less demand-resigning communication pattern and less mutual avoidance communication patterns was established
