Abstract

Introduction & Purpose: The purpose of the present study was to determine relationship between physical self- concept and sport success with kinesthesia in fields of volleyball, badminton and wrestling in male athletic college students. Methodology: The method used in this study was descriptive and correlational. Therefore, 100 students athletic in different fields purposefully using random multistage sampling were selected (Volleyball, badminton and wrestling). Personal information questionnaire, Short-Form of Physical Self-Description Questionnaire and Ego Orientation in Sport Questionnaire and zhukovski dominant-hand's angle accommodation tests and Ablacova force control dominant-hand's were used in order to collect data. Results: Collected data were analyzed using Pearson correlation test, simultaneous multilevel regression test and analysis variance test. Shown in the results, there is a statistically significant relationship between physical self-concept and sport success with kinesthesia in different fields. Conclusion: The results showed, sports of which kinesthesia of the dominant hand was their main reason of success had better kinesthesia and physical self-concept.
