The purpose of present study was to compare mental toughness and Emotional Intelligence in elite senior level- Iranian wrestlers. For this ,  32 elite free wrestlers and 32 elite Greco-Roman with the average age of 25 years were chosen in 2014.Sequentialy,for evaluating sport  mental toughness and  sport emotional intelligence,the researcher used Golby , Shierd, Siber and Shring's mental toughness questionaires .The methodology of research is practical regarding purpose and the content is reasonably  rcomparative .According to some findings from the independent (T) test,there is no meaningful relationship between mental toughness and emotional intelligence in elite wrestlers.Also the results of independent(T) test shows that there is no meaningful dissimiliarities between average social skills of elite freestyle ang Greco-Roman wrestlers.(free style,Greco, t,p=0/831).The average of mental toughness,self-motive and sympathy of the Greco_Roman wrestlers is more than freestyle wrestlers but in other qualifications  the average of freestyle wrestlers is much better than Greco-Roman wrestlers,self motive,and sympathy of the Greco-Roman wrestlers which are much more than elite free style wrestlers it is suggested to choose both these two groups of wrestlers who are much more closer to the above characteristics
