Abstract
Impulsivity as one of the signs of fluctuations in adolescence has a significant effect on adolescents of this age, including morbid gambling, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, borderline personality disorder, suicide, self-harming behaviors and sexual stress. Defensive and self-aware of adolescent impulsivity. For this purpose, 279 eighth and ninth grade adolescent students of Karaj schools participated in this project as a sample through cluster sampling and a number of questionnaires of cohesive self-knowledge, defense styles and Bart's impulsivity in person in March 2017. Completed the rest and online due to the spread of Covid-19 virus and the closure of schools, the rest of the samples were completed through the happy system. This research is a descriptive-correlation type, so regression method was used in data analysis. The results showed that developed defensive style, reflective and cohesive self-knowledge negatively and psychologically disturbed and undeveloped defensive style play a positive role in predicting adolescent impulsivity.
