Introduction and purpose: Iranian women's volleyball is one of the disciplines that has made significant progress in recent years. But this field still faces various challenges that can limit its growth and development. The purpose of this research is to identify challenges and solutions for the development of women's volleyball in Iran.
Methodology: This research is a mixed research that used interviews with people with education and experience related to sports management and volleyball in the qualitative part. In this section, 35 new coders have been identified in the form of 5 categories. A small part of the questionnaire has been used for coaches and athletes of the women's volleyball premier league. In this section, partial least squares method and power analysis are used to determine the sample size and test the model. Validity and reliability of the questionnaire have also been confirmed.
Results: The findings of this research showed that the challenges and solutions of the social development of women's volleyball in Iran at the regional level are related to five categories (causal, contextual, intervening, strategic and consequences).
Conclusion: This research showed that Iranian women's volleyball is facing many challenges at the regional level, which have a negative impact on its social development. To solve these challenges, solutions were presented in the form of five categories that can help improve the condition of this field. It is suggested that sports officials, coaches and athletes use these strategies and play their role in the development of Iranian women's volleyball.
