Abstract
Introduction and purpose : Research has shown that physical and sports activities can significantly improve cognitive and academic performance in students. This study aims to evaluate the impact of sports games focused on cognitive-motor skills on the motor and academic development of students.

Methodology: This study was conducted using a semi-experimental approach with two control and experimental groups. Students from elementary and middle schools were selected to participate in the 12-week program. The experimental group participated in sports games for 8 weeks, twice a week, for 30 minutes each session, while the control group was exempt from these activities.

Results: The findings indicate that the experimental group showed significant progress in motor and academic tests compared to the control group. The intervention with cognitive-motor skills-focused sports games had a positive impact on the development of motor skills and academic performance of students.

Conclusion: The findings of this study confirm that sports games based on cognitive-motor skills can be an effective strategy to improve motor and academic performance in students. This type of intervention can play a significant role in enhancing physical literacy and cognitive abilities of students and be incorporated into educational and training programs in schools.
