The role of knowledge management and social capital on the organizational performance of the Ministry of Sports and Youth

Abstract
Introduction &Purpose:The current research was conducted with the aim of investigating the role of social capital knowledge management on the organizational performance of the Iraq Ministry of Sports and Youth.

Methodology: This is a descriptive correlational research. The statistical population of the research includes all the employees of the Ministry of Sports and Youth of Iraq in the number of 420 people, of which 201 people were selected as a statistical sample based on Morgan's table. The sampling method was a simple random method. The research tools include Lawson's knowledge management questionnaire (2003), Kaplan and Norton's organizational performance (2001) and Onyx and Bolen's (2000) social capital questionnaire, data analysis in two descriptive and inferential parts through spss23 software and normality test and Pearson's correlation coefficient, regression test was performed.

Results:The results after the analysis showed that knowledge management has an effect on the organizational performance of the Ministry of Sports and Youth with a correlation coefficient of 0.625, social capital has an effect on the organizational performance of the Ministry of Sports and Youth with a coefficient of 0.736.

Conclusion:Therefore, the management of knowledge and social capital has an effect on the organizational performance of the Ministry of Sports and Youth. Considering that social capital has an effect on the organizational performance of the Ministry of Sports. It is suggested that senior managers establish social capital through two-way communication channels, especially one-on-one communication with key employees and understand their needs and desires.
