Abstract
The aim of the present research was to investigate the role of intellectual capital dimensions and organizational support in the strategic orientation of employees in the General Department of Sports and Youth of Zanjan province. The current research employed a correlational study conducted in the field. The population of the study consisted of employees of the General Department of Sports and Youth of Zanjan province. According to Morgan's table, 240 individuals were selected as the sample using stratified random sampling. The data collection tools included standardized questionnaires for intellectual capital by Bontis et al. (1998), strategic orientation by Wood and Robert Sim (1997), and organizational support by Eisenberg et al. (1986). Content validity of the research questionnaires was confirmed by 12 sports management professors, and the reliability of the questionnaires was 0.772, 0.824, and 0.836, respectively. Descriptive (mean, frequency, and percentage) and inferential (Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and path analysis for model evaluation) statistical methods were used to analyze the data, employing SPSS version 25 and LISREL version 8.8 software. The research results showed a significant and positive relationship between intellectual capital and its dimensions with organizational support and strategic orientation in sports and youth organizations. Therefore, paying more attention to intellectual capital dimensions can have an impact on formulating organizational policies.
