Abstract
Academic achievement motivation is essential for learning, providing intensity and direction to behavior while supporting learners in sustaining and maintaining their efforts. With this motivation, individuals can generate the momentum necessary to successfully complete tasks, reach set goals, or achieve a specific level of competence in their work, ultimately leading to success in learning and academic advancement. Accordingly, this study aims to investigate the mediating role of classroom structure in the relationship between family communication patterns and academic achievement motivation. This descriptive-analytical research utilized a questionnaire distributed among a sample of 355 female middle school students, selected from a population of 4,750. The collected data were then analyzed using SmartPLS version 8.8 and SPSS version 21.0. Results indicated that the conversation-oriented communication pattern significantly impacts classroom structure, and this pattern also serves as a positive and significant predictor of academic achievement motivation. Consequently, the mediating role of classroom structure in the relationship between family communication patterns and academic achievement motivation, via the conversation-oriented model, was confirmed.
