Abstract
Introduction and Objective:The main aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of work-family conflict and leisure time with an emphasis on attitude toward physical activity on the performance of employees in private swimming pools in Tehran.

Methodology:This descriptive study employed structural equation modeling and is classified as applied research. The statistical population consisted of all employees of private swimming pools in Tehran (1350 individuals). Using Cochran’s formula, a sample of 384 participants was selected through simple random sampling. Data collection tools included standardized questionnaires on time-based and fatigue-based work-family conflict with leisure time, job stress, segmentation culture, behavioral attitude toward leisure time, and a researcher-made questionnaire on leisure time emphasizing physical activity.

Results:The results showed that job stress had no significant effect on employees’ behavioral attitude toward leisure time, while segmentation culture had a positive and significant effect on this attitude. Moreover, time-based conflict had no significant effect on behavioral attitude or satisfaction with leisure time emphasizing physical activity. Fatigue-based conflict negatively affected behavioral attitude but had no significant effect on leisure time satisfaction. Finally, behavioral attitude toward leisure time had a positive and significant effect on satisfaction with leisure time emphasizing physical activity, and the research model demonstrated good fit.

Conclusion:Based on the findings, it is recommended that managers of private swimming pools in Tehran provide special facilities such as reducing working hours on some days of the week and organizing family events for employees to enhance their performance.
