Introduction: Diabetes is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by elevated blood glucose levels and insulin dysfunction. Oxidative stress and inflammation play significant roles in the progression of diabetes. Management of diabetes involves lifestyle modifications, medication, and exercise. Both aerobic and resistance training enhance insulin sensitivity. Natural compounds such as curcumin are effective in controlling diabetes due to their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. This study examines the combined impact of training and curcumin on diabetes.
Methodology: This study is a bibliometric analysis of articles published in the Magiran database up to 1403. Articles written in Persian and by Iranian authors were selected. The data were extracted in RIS file format and analyzed using VOSviewer software. Parameters such as co-authorship and the co-occurrence of keywords were examined to identify scientific trends.
Results: Thirteen relevant articles published between 1396 and 1403 were identified. The average number of authors per article was 3 ± 0.96. Prominent authors included Maryam Delfan, with 4 articles, and several other researchers with 3 articles. Faculty members of Azad University published 54 percent of the articles. The analyses revealed a strong correlation between training, diabetes, and curcumin.
Conclusion: The findings suggest that research on the combined effects of training and curcumin on diabetes has increased in recent years. Combining these two interventions could serve as an effective strategy for controlling blood glucose levels and reducing inflammation in diabetic patients. However, further research is needed to determine the optimal dosage.
