Introduction and Objective: The presence of committed human resources shows the image of the organization in the important community and provides a position for the growth and expansion of the organization.
The present study aimed to investigate the effect of human resource empowerment and managerial factors on the research productivity of professors with the mediating role of intellectual capital at the Azad University of Science and Research Branch of Tehran. Methodology: This descriptive study is of correlational type and is applied in terms of purpose. The statistical population consisted of 521 professors of the Azad University of Science and Research Branch, of whom 223 were selected as samples through simple stratified random sampling using the Cochran formula. The data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the SEM structural equation modeling method.
Results: The results of the study showed that human resource empowerment and managerial factors have a significant effect on the research productivity of professors. Also, intellectual capital plays a mediating role in the relationship between human resource empowerment and managerial factors with research productivity.
Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, it is recommended that Islamic Azad University prioritize the empowerment of human resources and management factors, especially supporting research activities.
